On Friday 23rd March, 45 of our KS3 students enjoyed a day at Gloucestershire University working with staff from Transformation Trust and Dell Computers. The children were challenged to think of social issues that could be addressed through creative use of technology. Through teamwork, and using some great technology courtesy of Dell,  the children designed technological solutions to some major problems before presenting them to the professionals and their peers, Dragons’ Den style! One of our teams came up with the idea of using computer sensors and electric cars to reduce pollution and won the prize for best presentation. We have made some new links with the university, with future visits already planned.
