Ms. N. Beech. Executive Head
As Executive Principal, I oversee Abbeywood, Church Hill and Ipsley RSA Academies. I have worked within the Arrow Vale pyramid for over ten years and feel a strong connection with the area – my grandfather was a Redditch New Town labourer and was involved in building some of the communities I’m now proud to serve! I trained as an English teacher and worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher for the local authority before becoming a senior leader at Arrow Vale. Being an RSA Academy is an important part of the identity of each of our schools and supporting our distinctiveness is a priority for me.
Outside of school, I love reading, travelling and going to the theatre
Mrs. C. Lewis – Head of School
I have been teaching at Church Hill Middle School for a ‘number of years!’ I am the Deputy Head teacher, and am also Leader of English. I enjoy being active, love cycling and am a member of a gym. Other interests include reading and working on home improvement projects! My aim for the future is to buy a Volkswagen camper van to renovate.
Mr. D. Dathan – CRSA Trust Deputy Headteacher
Mr Dathan has been teaching for 14 years in a range of schools, including in Australia. He has two children in full-time education in a primary school in Warwickshire. He loves sport, fitness and being outdoors although he also enjoys cooking.
Mrs. B. Harris – Assistant Head, Maths Lead & KS2 Teacher
I joined Church Hill Middle School in September 2017 as Assistant Head Teacher, Maths Lead and year 6 teacher. I have previously worked in London and Somerset teaching in KS2 and specialising in both science and maths. In my spare time I enjoy walks in the countryside with my dog.
Miss. J. Lewis – Assistant Head, Key Stage 3 Phase Leader & Science Lead
Phase Leader of years 7 & 8: I have been teaching for 14 years and specialise in Science and PE. Out of school I enjoy going to the gym, and socialising with my friends and family.
Mr. M. Purslow – Assistant Headteacher/Director of RSAA & Abbeywood Teaching Schools/Lead for MFL
I have been teaching for 16 years and have a passion for travel and languages. My family live in France and I am lucky enough to spend many of my holidays there enjoying the culture and of course the French food!! I love teaching and strongly believe it is the best job, working with young people and learning as much from them as they do from me. I have taught in Solihull, Leicester and Coventry prior to joining Church Hill; I also work for the RSA and the Teaching School where we seek to recruit high quality teachers into our schools. Outside of teaching, I am keen runner and regularly participate in events at the weekend.
Mrs. N. Reynolds – Access & Inclusion Lead
After teaching in 3 different schools and in a variety of year groups, I joined the Church Hill Middle School team in September 2017 as a Year 6 teacher and SENDCo. In 2019 I was appointed to the position of Inclusion Lead for Church Hill Middle and Abbeywood First schools. I feel privileged to be able to work across these two settings with wonderful staff teams and fabulous children! – I love the fact that no two days are ever the same!
I have 2 children of my own who keep me very busy! If I have a few spare minutes, a cup of tea with a good book is just bliss. A visit to the theatre with family or friends is a real treat!
